Research and Scholarship

Dr. Timmons’s scholarly work centers on the mentoring relationship between clinical educators and preservice band directors, with a focus on how conducting technique is modeled, observed, and developed during student teaching. This research grew directly out of his own work supervising pre-service teachers across three New Jersey universities and continues to inform his approach to teacher development at every level of his career.
